Angie performs with Sandbox Radio in "Swing Time"

My pleasure to appear with Sandbox Radio as guest musical director and featured musical artist in this summer's "Swing Time"! An amazing cast, ravenous audience and fellow guest artists like The Riveting Rosies, Tina Rowley and Cascadia Big Band made this a blast. Thanks to Sandbox and to ACT for hosting this big-ass undertaking in the beautiful Falls Theatre!

Love Markets slip into summer @ Le Can Can

The Love Markets are ready to slip into summer! Join us just a few days after the solstice for our big summer show on Wednesday June 25. Come on down to Pike Place Market for a beautiful sunset over the water, then down those red-lit stairs into everyone's favorite Parisian cabaret haunt, Le Can Can, for an enchanted evening with me and my fellow Love Markets as we light the night with breezy tangos, Brechtian ballads, carnival waltzes and bordello blues. Showtime: 8:00 pm. BUY TIX

Angie performs at Teatro Zinzanni for Freehold gala

My first performance under Teatro Zinzanni's beautiful antique Belgian big top - and for a worthy cause! Freehold Theatre Lab boasts amazing directors and instructors who do incredible work in the community. A fabulous time was had by all at last night's gala complete with wining, dining, auction, special circus arts performances, and plenty of music from me and my Love Markets comrades Dave Pascal and Rob Witmer. So happy to have been part of an evening that raised many thousands for this essential Seattle arts organization. Cheers!

Angie in Seattle reading of "Citizen Ruth"

Excited to be a part of the "Citizen Ruth" cast reading for Balagan Theatre as they gear up for its world premiere in 2015! Directed by Tony nominee Dan Knechtges with musical direction by Nathan Young, this adaptation of Alexander Payne & Jim Taylor's film has a great book by Mark Leydorf and great music by Michael Brennan. I got to play rock star Jesse Dove and double as a pro-life hairdresser. Kudos to the creative team, Balagan, and my stellar castmates.

Love Markets in "Burlesco Notturno: Glamour"

We Love Markets are always thrilled to take part in the "Burlesco Notturno" series on Vashon, and on Saturday May 3rd we'll return for our fourth installment! What can follow "Little Black Slip", "Exotica" and "Eccentrico"? Why, "Glamour", of course. Join us for this night of fabulous circus arts, music and burlesque hosted by the indefatigable Madame X and her lawyer: 8 pm showtime, Open Space, Vashon Island.

Angie to close out PNW Cabaret Festival 3-29 @ Egan's

Next up: Saturday March 29, when I'll play at Egan's as the finale of the Pacific Northwest Cabaret Festival. Continuing this month's Mardi Gras-New Orleans vibe, my songs and I will be joined by the glorious LaWanda DuPree tearing it up with me on some sassy duets and a bevy of band boys including Dave Marriott on trombone, Rob Witmer on accordion, Todd Gowers on bass guitar, Ed Littlefield on drums, and Hans Brehmer spotting me on piano. I don't know how we'll fit onstage... someone's going to have to get tipsy and fall off.

Love Markets @ Can Can Feb 26 with the Half Brothers!

Men in slips or guys in plaid? Weimar smoke or bluegrass fire? Trombone and accordion, or mandolin and banjo? For this show, you don't have to choose! We've got it all, starting at 8:00 pm on February 26 as The Love Markets play a special show with our pals The Half Brothers on our favorite subterranean stage, the glamorous Can Can!

Angie in "Cumberland Blues" at Village Theatre

What a pleasure to be part of "Cumberland Blues" at Village Theatre Originals! This new musical-in-progress sports a score of songs by the Grateful Dead and a book by Michael Norman Mann. I got to play my sparkly little squeezebox with the great Andy Coe Band, sing some amazing songs, and get all uppity as Bertha, "a woman no man in the county can handle."

Santas off the chain: A sackful of holiday gigs

December brought a sackful of holiday gigs stuffed with the best treat of all: playing music with good friends! I played a few Holiday Hootenannies with Carrie Clark & the Lonesome Lovers (Egan's, Underwood Stables; a soulful holiday concert at Royal Room with Victor Janusz, VJ Band and special guest Motels saxophonist Marty Jourard; and a cozy pre-Christmas night at St. Clouds with pals Jimm McIver, John Ackermann, Rick Miller & Ben Heege. Loved every minute of it!

"Switchmas" released on DVD

Now available on DVD at Amazon: "SWITCHMAS", the 2012 family holiday comedy co-written by Angie Louise (with Douglas Horn and director Sue Corcoran) and starring Elliott Gould and David DeLuise. A tale of two families, this Christmas caper about a little Jewish kid with big dreams (Elijah Nelson) also features a musical finale written by Angie and performed by a crew of misfit kids, and a subplot in which Angie pops up as a B-movie diva trying to portray Mrs. Claus in outer space.

Love Markets in "Burlesco Notturno: Eccentrico!"

Such a pleasure to return to the "Burlesco Notturno" series and the amazing folks at Open Space on Vashon! After having a great time in "Little Black Slip" and "Exotica", we thrilled to November's "ECCENTRICO!" - a wild autumnal cornucopia of more brilliant circus and dance arts for the Love Markets to wind our music around. What will they come up with in 2014?
