is a screenwriter, fiction writer, and songwriter. She earned her BA in Rhetoric with High Distinction from the University of Illinois, where her short fiction and poetry were awarded the Academy of American Poets Prize, the Trelease Fiction Award, and a Quinn Fellowship. Shortly thereafter, she wrote late-night stage series
Shuddering Pines ("Superb…An instant tradition, not to be missed" - The Stranger) and a handful of short films. Her first feature film, 2005's award-winning cult comedy
Gory Gory Hallelujah, is currently available on DVD (rent it on Netflix!).
In December 2008, Angie's second screenplay
Destination: Fallopia!, a satirical sci-fi battle of the sexes, was completed as a work for hire for Von Piglet Films. In early 2010, Angie optioned her feature film adaptation of
Shuddering Pines to Von Piglet Films; she also completed a work-for-hire rewrite of
Ira Finkelstein's Christmas Vacation, the story of a Jewish kid who'll stop at nothing to celebrate Christmas (for Von Piglet films, from a draft by Douglas Horn & Sue Corcoran). Angie is now working to finish her first novel,
Baby, the darkly comic tale of a lady novelist trying to write her own pregnancy out of existence.
